Grant Israel Taggart
Last name sometimes spelled Taggard. Managed the Tower House in 1861. Leased the Tower House in 1862 and purchased a share of the furnishings. Elected County Clerk, Auditor, and Recorder from 1868 until 1872. Later became Clerk of the Supreme Court. Owned Grant I. Taggart's Shasta to Weaverville Express company. [1]
